2022 Minot Rotary Scholarship Foundation Awards

The 2022 Rotary Scholarships have been awarded from the Minot Rotary Scholarship Foundation Fund. This year there were 25 - $1,000 scholarships awarded to high school seniors from Minot and the surrounding area.

The Rotary Scholarship Foundation Fund was established by the Rotary Club of Minot 38 years ago. The goal of the fund is to provide scholarships to area youth through a permanent endowment fund held at the Minot Area Community Foundation. Scholarship applications are scored based upon participation in school activities, involvement in community service and charitable organizations, employment history and academic achievements.

This year’s scholarship award recipients were as follows: Jonas Bubach – Minot HS, MaLiah Burke – Minot HS, Alaina Gochanour – Minot HS, Jersey Johnson – Minot HS, Addison Sorenson – Minot HS, Brett Finley – Bishop Ryan Catholic School, Annika Henjum – Bishop Ryan Catholic School, Josh Will – Bishop Ryan Catholic School, Mattie Jacobson – Our Redeemers Christian School, Aubrey Brown – Des Lacs – Burlington HS, Regan James – Bottineau HS, Nathaniel Olson – Bottineau HS, Kaleb Wintermute – Bottineau HS, Megan Hay – Divide County HS, Mason Lemer – Drake-Anamoose HS, Abbigail Zeiszler – Garrison HS, Carsyn Ziegler – Harvey HS, Teigan Hanklel – Max HS, Madison Moberg – MLS Mohall HS, Anna Johnson – Rugby HS, Cheznie Best – TGU Granville HS, Emma Dove – Velva HS, Blake Engebretson – Velva HS, Halle Keller – Velva HS, and Jadyn Sandy – Velva HS.

Since its inception, the scholarship fund has awarded 805 scholarships totaling $723,000. Students earning scholarships are chosen by members of the Rotary Club of Minot who review and score every application.

Through the Minot Rotary Scholarship Foundation from its humble beginnings back in the 1940’s to present, local Rotarians have taken great pride in putting service above self and have truly made a difference for local youth and our future.
