MACF Announces Record-Breaking $926,347 in October Funding Awards

The Minot Area Community Foundation is honored to announce a historic month of giving, with $926,347.67 in funding awards approved by its Board of Directors in October 2026. This marks the largest monthly funding total in the Foundation's history. These funds represent a combination of donor-advised distributions and grants supporting nonprofits, charitable organizations and community initiatives throughout the region.
 
“We are absolutely thrilled to see this record-breaking amount of funding going to organizations throughout our region,” said Jason Zimmerman, President of the Minot Area Community Foundation. “Behind every dollar is a donor who believes in the future of our community. To see that generosity translate into nearly a million dollars in funding in just one month is truly remarkable, and we're honored to play a part in making that impact possible.”

• Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports
• Roosevelt Park Zoo
• Salvation Army
• Second Story
• Souris River Basin Longbeards
• The Difference – A Holistic Approach
• TM Mikinaak Ode Center
• Velva Area Dollars for Scholars

October's funding total also includes grants awarded through MACF's two giving circles:

• Give360 awarded $23,692.05 to six area organizations and initiatives.
• Power of the Purse awarded $20,787.26 to seven area organizations and initiatives.

 
Together, these two giving circles awarded more than $44,000 in grants, demonstrating the power of collective giving and the impact community members can make when they come together.
