The Minot Area Community Foundation’s Give360 Giving Circle has announced a grant of $5,000 to Minot Public Schools for Lego Education Spike Robots.

The Lego Education Spike Robots will be used by the 8th grade technology & engineering classes at the four middle schools. These robots allow students to experience math and science in a fun, hands-on environment that greatly enhances their learning.

“We are so thankful to Give360 for this generous donation” states Byron Borgen, Technology & Engineering Instructor with Minot Public Schools. “It is exciting to have the community get behind the new Junior High School in Minot and especially supporting technology by allowing us to provide new robots for our students.”

Give360 is a community giving circle within the Minot Area Community Foundation. This diverse membership is united in its commitment to meet or exceed the emerging needs of our community. Members pay annual dues which are pooled to support community projects which are recommended by our members.

“The diverse membership of Give360 is united in its commitment to make a difference”, states Jason Zimmerman, President of Minot Area Community Foundation. “By leveraging their dollars, they continue to create lasting impact in the community for generations to come.”
