Besserud Fund Grant to Caleb's Clubhouse

On Tuesday, June 20th, The Minot Area Community Foundation presented Cable's Clubhouse with a check for $70,000 from their Arnold Besserud Fund. Caleb's Clubhouse, a pre-school and after school program, will open in Oak Park Village this August. The programs at Caleb's Clubhouse will specialize in early intervention and treatment for children with development needs.

"It is important to reach a child at his/her level. By expounding on a child's strengths and building the foundation for creating and maintaining relationships; we are setting our children up for success in all aspects of life," says Shannon Schmidt, Executive Director of Caleb's Clubhouse. Schmidt stresses that "Caleb's Clubhouse is inclusive, meaning it is for ALL children and focuses on social communication with a high staff to child ratio for more individualized learning."

The grant made by The Foundation will cover the initial construction costs to renovate the space in the old Oak Park shopping mall. Caleb's Clubhouse will open this falll when school resumes and is now taking registrations. For more information, visit their website at cchminot.org.
