Minot Area Community Foundation Celebrates 25 Years of Community Giving

Posted: Mar 18 2025

The Minot Area Community Foundation is proud to celebrate 25 years of community giving. Since its founding on March 16, 2000, MACF has connected our donors and partners with local causes and nonprofits to create lasting, impactful change. This milestone is a testament to the generosity of those who have given and the foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the region.

“From the beginning, the Minot Area Community Foundation has remained steadfast in its commitment to promoting local philanthropy and charitable giving, ensuring our communities continue to flourish,” said Jason Zimmerman, MACF President. “Now that we have turned the corner into 2025, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of an organization built on the vision and dedication of our founders. To them and to all who support our mission, THANK YOU.”

Over the past 25 years, MACF has granted over $22.8 million to improve the quality of life in the region. In 2024 alone, 225 grants totaling $1.358 million were awarded, marking the fourth consecutive year of exceeding $1 million in support for local and surrounding community organizations.

“The foundation’s success is a testament to the incredible generosity of our donors and the strength of our community,” said Reed Argent, MACF Board Chair. “We look forward to celebrating this milestone throughout 2025 and continuing to build a brighter future.”

MACF will commemorate its 25th anniversary in various ways throughout the year, honoring the donors, partners, and organizations that have contributed to its success. A key highlight is a special video featuring community partners sharing why they give, a testament to the generosity that has fueled 25 years of positive change.
