As part of our 25th Anniversary Match Madness campaign, the Minot Area Community Foundation (MACF) proudly announced a $25,000 matching gift to the Rotary Scholarship Foundation Fund, doubling this year’s scholarships for 25 area high school seniors.
The surprise was revealed at the annual Rotary Scholarship Banquet, where each student believed they would be receiving a $1,000 scholarship. Thanks to MACF’s contribution, each recipient instead walked away with $2,000 to support their continued education.
“This fund holds special meaning to our foundation,” said Jason Zimmerman, President of MACF. “The Rotary Scholarship Fund’s founders were instrumental in the creation of the Minot Area Community Foundation in 2000. Supporting this fund as part of our anniversary campaign is a full-circle moment—honoring the past while investing in the future.”
This gift is one of several made through MACF’s Match Madness campaign, which celebrates 25 years of strengthening community philanthropy. The Rotary Scholarship Fund, established 40 years ago by the Rotary Club of Minot, continues to support local youth through a permanent endowment managed by MACF.
