The Minot Area Community Foundation (MACF) has announced just over $600,000 in grant distributions made through Donor Advised Funds to support a wide range of local nonprofits. This represents one of the largest single rounds of distributions in the Foundation’s 25-year history.

“These grants highlight the incredible generosity of our local donors, and the flexibility that donor advised funds provide,” said Jason Zimmerman, MACF President. “Our fundholders are deeply invested in meeting community needs, and Donor Advised Funds allow them to make an immediate impact while maintaining a long-term charitable vision.”

Donor Advised Funds give individuals, families, and businesses the ability to support the organizations and causes that matter most to them, while benefiting from the Foundation’s local expertise and administrative support.

Benefiting area organizations include:

  • Bio Girls

  • Central Middle School

  • Companions for Children

  • Dakota Hope Clinic

  • Domestic Violence Crisis Center

  • First Lutheran Church

  • Full STEAM Ahead

  • Hello Sunshine Ice Cream & Books

  • Lewis & Clark Elementary

  • Local Motives
